Garage floors are commonly built with a step down from the main house floor level.
You would only need 10 cm step down from your house slab to your garage storage slab.
If floor is framed on top of foundation will typically have 2 steps.
I also like the idea of being able to hose the garage out without flooding the house with water.
This is the common practice.

You are correct slab is currently just completed in mine and there is no step down and garage and internal house is at the same level.
So is a good idea in setting out to mark exactly where the garage is going to be constructed so the ground can be excavated deeper.
